Blacker posted from 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. | Ralph Mark Milbanke's father, Sir John Peniston Milbanke, was awarded the V.C. during the Boer War. He was killed in 1915 during the Gallipoli Campaign. Sadly, Ralph shot himself to death in his Mayfair flat in 1949. "Monkey" Blacker would eventually become Colonel of the Regiment. |
