1Normal training. 4-str Austin car lent by North Staffordshires. Brigade HQ formed, Council Houses, Penkridge.

3Normal training. 2/Lieut W.G.C. Shebbeare, Yorkshire Hussars, arrived from the Cavalry Depot, Edinburgh. P.T. & Drill competitions by 'A', 'B' and 'C' squadrons recruits. 'A' - 1st, 'B' - 2nd, 'C'- 3rd: football postponed owing to snow.  
4Normal training. Hut inspection won by 'C' squadron. 
5Normal training. 1 x practice turret, 3 x 2-pounder mountings and 6 x Besa tripods arrived from Major Lakeman.  
6Normal training. Visit by General Sir R. Gordon Findlayson, G.O.C-in-C., Western Command. 
7Competition between 2 squads each of 23rd Hussars and 24th Lancers won by a squad from 'A' squadron, 23rd Hussars. Marching and Arms drill. 23H Story Page 14.
8-9Normal training. 
10Specialist training started. 2/Lieut A.J. Glyn joined. Tactical lecture by the Brigade Commander. 
11Normal training. Lieut G.P. Mitchell, R.A.M.C. joined. 
12-16Normal training. 
17Normal training. 2/Lieut J.C. Stephenson, 15th/19th Hussars, joined as Signals Officer. Recruits firing on open range. 
18-19Recruits firing the rifle on open range. 
20Normal training. Gas chamber. 
21Normal training. 
2240 x infantrymen posted from I.T.C., King's Regiment. Inter-squadron sports competition. The entire competition won by 'B' squadron. Gas Chamber.
