"A" Squadron with G Company, 8th RB at Leunen; "C" Squadron with H Company, 8th RB west of Leunen, Sheet 1; "B" Squadron in counter-attack role at Steeg, 780245. R.HQ at Heide, 7725. No incidents except for occasional enemy night patrols and periodic heavy enemy shelling, particularly on Leunen.

21 "B" Squadron patrol forward to St Helena Hoeve, 7720 and are halted by mines. A/Tank fire and appalling "Going".
4 x Other Ranks killed in action and 3 x wounded. 2 x Sherman Vs destroyed by enemy action. Withdraw at night.

23 "B" Squadron forward to destroy enemy at St Helena Hoeve and build bridge at 771202. Enemy withdrew during the night. Spend the day on recovery in filthy weather. 23H Story Page 182.
