Notes

Cecil's father (a twin) and three uncles (one by marriage) were all killed ON THE SAME DAY during the Suvla Bay operations on Gallipoli. All four were in the Hampshire Regiment. All four are commemorated on the Helles Memorial (having no known grave). There is a memorial to these men in Newport, I.O.W. [Photo]

Another of Cecil's uncles, Alfred Urry, was attacked in the street and died from his injuries in 1933.
