After Arthur's death in WWI, his widow Gertrude married a Thomas Gregory (1884-1928). One of their sons, half-brother of Frederick Stratford, was 14407213, Rifleman Peter Leonard Gregory, 2nd Bn, Royal Ulster Rifles. He was KIA 12 Aug 1943 and is buried in Catania War Cemetery, Sicily, Plot IV. F. 21.
