Denis appeared in many well-known TV programmes during the 1960s, including Armchair Theatre, The Avengers, The Prisoner, Z Cars, No Hiding Place, Dixon of Dock Green. Probably his most famous film role was as the German officer Paul Priem in 'The Colditz Story'.
