Notes

"We sat on our backsides watching by day with one troop forward and at night our longtime friends, the 8th Rifle Brigade, went out patrolling to probe the situation. The enemy were not idle either at night for they laid a mine on the road just to our south and it blew up a jeep carrying RSM Wass and Trooper Roddis who lost both legs.

John Steinhart, C Sqr

The above incident, at De Rips, Holland, is described in the 23H Story, Page 165. However, there is no evidence that Trooper Roddis was injured.

Peter is on the list of those who attended the 23H reunion in 1959.
