Old John's one-man pitch invasion

The late Gordon Clubley remembers an incident involving "Old" John Clubley at a Holmpton Cup Final: "His legs were so bad he had to take a chair with him to every game. Anyway, at the Cup Final he couldn't see what was going on as everybody had moved forward, so we lifted his chair - with him on it - on to the pitch. Then the ref ordered the crowd back and poor old John was left stranded in his chair about twenty yards onto the field of play. Bah, he did wave his stick about that night!"
