Notes

Frank's father William was killed in a mining accident, "Crushed between tubs and roof". The mine belonged to the Wigan Coal and Iron Co Ltd and was closed in 1966.

Frank sailed from Plymouth to St John, New Brunswick, Canada on 17 Nov 1951 aboard the 'Protea'. His wife and children joined him the following year, sailing from Southampton via New York aboard the 'Queen Mary'.
